For Your Ears: Childish Gambino – Me And Your Mama

Stand up comedian, TV star, writer, good looker and musician, Donald Glover AKA. Childish Gambino is back with a new track.

Me And Your Mama is the first single off his upcoming album Awaken, My Love!

With straight up west coast synth driving the track while gospel backing vocals (almost Kanye Westesque) ride the way to Gambino’s blues break out, unexpected and excited are my feelings upon experiencing this.

Its weird but to explain the track in one sentence, I would go with ‘Dr Dre, Alabama Shakes and Kayne’s contact list full of backing vocalists met in a jazz bar.’ Just go with it.

Awaken, My Love! is expected to be in our ears on December 2nd with Childish Gambino visiting many festivals over New Years including Falls Festival and Field Day.
