Ministry Of Sound / Generik & Tenzin

After a 2 week stint on the South Coast of NSW chasing swells and snow, I was exited, refreshed and ready to get back behind the lens on the nightlife scene. From the minute I walked through the doors, I was welcomed to the familiar vibration of bass, mashed choruses of people welcoming each other, and the positive energy.
Knowing Ministry Of Sound were in town, I took the pre-emptive strike of charging all batteries, clearing all cards and double checking all my gear. Its always a ruckus when they come through. It didn’t take long for the outside line to fill up, with people pouring in from every orifice the Helm offered. Familiar faces and many new alike popped up quickly, and within 5 minutes I was already on my toes, soaking in the vibe and taking photo requests left, right and centre.
After a big amp up from resident Batchelo, Generik & Tenzin dominated upstairs from the minute they got on stage respectively. Getting the crowd wild with their trademark thumping tracks and some incredible crowd interaction, with stage dives, freebie throw outs and getting a whole room full of people with their hands held high. Very, very impressive on all fronts. The MOS boys were backed up by local Macey Cherry, who still kept the crowd lingering and moving with a string of trap heavy beats seamed flawlessly together until the early hours.
What a night to be welcomed back home.
