50 Cent – Parramatta Park

50 Cent’s infamous “In Da Club” comes on, twelve thousand people party like it’s their birthday under the confetti filled sky in Parramatta Sydney’s – The Crescent. Who would’ve thought 2018 would be the year 50 Cent decides to put on two exclusive shows in Australia after 12 years since his last tour to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of the release of his album “Get Rich or Die Tryin”.

For many hip-hop and rap fans this was a show not to miss! Many were seen patiently waiting hours before gates opened. Being one of the most well-known and respected rappers in the world, 50 Cent is a hard act to open for and impossible to follow but support acts; Baker Boy and AB Original instantly got the crowd’s hands high in the air and the energy that was forming was contagious. The fans went wild as 50 made his appearance on stage. For many people, this would be a once in a life time opportunity- seeing 50 Cent perform live.

Imagine- twelve thousand people rapping along with 50 Cent with their arms in the air going from left to right as a huge storm rolls through- lightning lighting up the sky behind the stage which didn’t put a halt on the party what so ever!

Popular songs off the album that were played included: “Candy Shop”, “21 Questions”, “P.I.M.P” and “How We Do”. 50 was supported on stage by his team including a drummer and guitarist which gave an unexpected twist to his show.

As 50 said during his set “The top feels so much better than the bottom” smiling that million-dollar smile. Something tells me he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
