Migos – O2 Indigo
Atlanta’s favourite rap trio, Migos, performed to a sold out crowd at the O2 Indigo this week. For those who don’t know Migos, they are 3 cousins from a ‘well-known’ town in Georgia and are known as Quavo, Takeoff and Offset. The three rappers propelled to fame in 2013 when they released their hit single ‘Versace’ which really put the group on the map. Since then they have released consecutive hits such as Fight Night, Pipe It Up and Look at my Dab.
The night began with a number of warm up acts that really kept the crowds entertained with singers, dances, rappers and Dj’s. As the night grew older and fans spilled into the building people began to become more and more anxious to see the group. When it was time, the Dj spun the first hit from which Quavo bounced onto the stage with his two icey Rolexes. Following Quavo, Takeoff and Offset appeared with their diamond covered necklaces and gold rings. Their flashy jewellery and expensive clothes displayed their personalities and showcased their style of being ‘Flexers’.
The rap group put on a thriller performances are they exercised little skits between each set. You could tell that the group was feeding off the crowd’s energy as they smiled, laughed and danced during their own songs. The performance lasted for over 60minutes, allowing the group to sort through their huge category to provide fans with a little bit of everything. I think this was executed well as everyone was left feeling satisfied. Overall the night was retrieved well by venue and the people who attended as no one left feeling disappointed. If you like a good hip hop/rap party, head to a Migos concert, as they know how to Pipe It Up.
